Asymmetric Top State

This allows setting rotational constants and other values specific to each state in the molecule.

Settings

Colour Colour - set to "None" to take value from elsewhere as explained in Determining Colours and J ranges.
RveSelect Only include given rovibronic symmetry - for normal use set to 'all'
S Spin
Symmetry Symmetry
Kmin Minimum |K| to use in basis; -1 (default) for no lower limit. This is designed for use where there are issues with the Hamiltonian, such as when poorly defined centrifugal distortion constants put high K levels in unreasonable places, or simply to reduce the size of the matrix. To plot selected transitions use the transitions dialog, rather than this setting as Kmin and Kmax will change the energies and intensities.
Kmax Maximum |K| to use in basis; -1 (default) for no upper limit.

Parameters

For a formal definition of the constants in terms of operators, see asymmetric top perturbations.

After 7.1.323 the definition of the spin-spin parameters alpha and beta changed to be consistent with the literature. Values in older files are converted on loading by multiplying alpha by sqrt(5) and beta by sqrt(6).
