Readme for PGOPHER downloads

The available files are listed below. Note that the data files are interchangeable between versions.

Windows

See the Windows installation instructions.

Pgopher.exe - 32 bit version; should run on any PC
PgopherU64.exe - 64 bit unicode version; requires a 64 bit version of windows. This can handle larger problems, but for most use cases will be no different to the 32 bit version.
pgopher.chm, the windows help file.
tabslave.exe, a simple text editor optimized for use with PGOPHER, the TabSlave Editor.
slave.exe provides an earlier version of the Slave Editor.
The commandline directory contains command line versions of PGOPHER.

Linux

See the Linux installation instructions.

pgopher-i386-Linux-gtk2.tgz contains executables (Graphical and command line version of PGOPHER and the slave editors) for 32 bit x86 machines.
pgopher-x86_64-linux-gtk2.tgz contains executables (Graphical and command line version of PGOPHER and the slave editors) for 64 bit x86 machines.This can handle larger problems, but for most use cases will be no different to the 32 bit version.

Apple Mac

See the Mac installation instructions.

pgopher-MacOSX-i386-carbon.app.zip - PGOPHER compiled for OS X Leopard (10.5) and above
tabslave-MacOSX-i386-carbon.app.zip a simple text editor optimized for use with PGOPHER, the TabSlave Editor.

Source Code

pgopher_source_vx.y.z.zip, the source code for the program
pgopher_help_vx.y.z.zip, all the online help in html format. (The contents are the same as the .chm file.) The online version will be similar, but may contain a few essential updates.
